Man killed after car crushed between two semis

PAX (WVVA) – The West Virginia State Police released details Thursday on a fatal accident on Interstate 77 in which a vehicle was crushed between two tractor trailers at a toll booth.

Police say Jeremy P. Dickens, 34, of Beckley was killed when his 2011 Suzuki SX4 was struck in the rear by a tractor trailer driven by Michael Reeves Daugherty, 46, of Parsons, Kansas.

The impact of the collision sent Dickens' vehicle into the rear of another tractor trailer.

The crash occurred around 6:35 p.m. Wednesday. The State Police investigation is ongoing.
