WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS (WVVA) -With the 3rd annual Greenbrier Classic just days away, White Sulphur Springs has scheduled a "Spa City Spruce Up" for Saturday, June 23. Residents are encouraged to meet at 9:00 am at Old Mill Park. Projects include cleaning windows, pulling weeds, mulching and trash pick-up.
"We want the City to look its best for the thousands of visitors who come for the Classic," said Councilperson Lynn Swann. "This is a chance for us to do something we can all be proud of; to come together and make a difference."
Volunteers are asked to bring their own cleaning supplies and tools. Civic organizations are welcome to select a specific project area. Questions about the "Spa City Spruce Up" should be directed to Swann at 304-536-9118.
