Jays win opener 7-2 in Bristol

BRISTOL (WVVA) - The Bluefield Blue Jays 2012 campaign got off to a great start on the arms of a pair of 2011 draft picks.

Joe Musgrove and Daniel Norris contributed four strong innings each as the Jays defeated Bristol 7-2.

Musgrove started the game, striking out five. Norris took over the mound in the fifth, striking out five batters himself in picking up the win.

The teams play the second game of the three-game series tonight at 7 p.m. in Bristol.
