BLUEFIELD (WVVA)-- Coming to a new town can be tough. Meeting new people in that town can be even harder. But for all the new Bluefield Blue Jays, that process was made easier. Monday afternoon the Blue Jays held its annual Bowl with the Blue Jays at Mountaineer Lanes in Bluefield.
Kids were able to bowl on the same lanes as professional baseball players, sharing the same dreams that the professionals had years ago.
"This is a blast, I just remember I was the little kid bowling with the Johnson City Cardinals, and I know how much they appreciate it being able to hang out with us," said Blue Jays pitcher Daniel Norris.
It is also a chance for these new players to get to the community, and have the community get to know them.
"No one wants to be those guys that are tough off the field and do not show the fans any love," said Jays pitcher Joe Musgrove.
"They are out there cheering us on and supporting us and I think we should do the same to them."
