OAK HILL (WVVA) - Two people were killed in separate accidents in Fayette County over the weekend.
The first occurred Friday evening. According to Robin Snyder of the National Park Service, 21-year-old Ashley Settle of Oak Hill drove off McKendree Road and struck a tree. A male juvenile passenger was killed. The victim's name has not been released.
The second deadly crash happened just after midnight Saturday morning in Fayetteville.
According to Fayette County 911, two cars collided near on Route 19 at the intersection near Walmart. One vehicle overturned, trapping its occupants inside.
Multiple people were transported to the hospital. At least one person died as a result of the crash. The conditions of all the victims involved is unknown at this time.
Both crashes remain under investigation.
