Man airlifted following Princeton crash

PRINCETON (WVVA) - A man was airlifted after his car slammed into the back of a tractor trailer near Princeton.

According to Nelson Short of the East River Volunteer Fire Department, a tractor trailer was being towed late Saturday night when the car slammed into the back of the truck, leaving the male driver and a female passenger trapped inside.

Crews worked quickly to extricate the two victims. The man was airlifted to a Charleston hospital with serious injuries.

A female passenger was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries.
