Mercer man indicted on murder charge connected to overdose

PRINCETON (WVVA) - A Mercer County man has been indicted on a charge of first-degree murder in connection with the drug overdose death of a woman.

Mark Steven Tessa, 25, was among the 75 indicted by the Mercer County Grand Jury for the June 2012 term.

Det. L.B. Murphy says Tessa is accused of supplying cocaine and prescription drugs to 29-year-old Rachel Watson, leading to her overdose death on March 2 at a residence the two shared in the Green Valley area.

Tessa also faces drug charges. He is scheduled to appear in court later this month.
