G-Girls fall in State Championship

Graham soccer had never made it to the state tournament in the school's long history.

But this season, the G-Girls not only made it to states, but hung with the 4-time defending champions George Mason.

Graham fell 4-0 in the state title game, but put some shots on goal early and only trailed 1-0 at halftime.

Saturday's championship game was the final for the Graham seniors including Jessica Woodie. Woodie finished her career with 209 career goals.

Graham returns six starters from the 2012 squad next spring.
