Greenbrier Co.Commissioner Indicted on Five Offenses by Grand Jury

LEWISBURG (WVVA) - Greenbrier County Commissioner Michael McClung is indicted Tuesday by a Grand Jury on three misdemeanor and two felony offenses.

Charles Scott of White Sulphur Springs was also indicted on the same offenses as brought forth by the State of West Virginia.

According to the indictment, McClung sold a 1999 model Ford Expedition to Charles Scott for $3,000 but only reported selling it for $1,000 which defrauded the State of West Virginia tax revenue money from the sale of the vehicle.

Both are charged with one felony count of forgery of public record, and one felony count of conspiracy.

Each are additionally charged with two counts of falsely swearing on affidavit required by the West Virginia Division of Motor Vehicles,  and one count of false swearing.
