TAZEWELL (WVVA) - A local hospital broke ground Monday on major renovations.
The Carilion Tazewell Community Hospital held a ground-breaking ceremony Monday afternoon on a $2 million emergency department project.
Hospital administrators said the renovations will provide patients with higher quality care, shorter wait times and give residents an emergency department they can be proud of.
The event was attended by hospital employees and board members.
Renovations are expected to be completed in the fall.
