UNION (WVVA) - The table was set Tuesday night for key races this November in Monroe County.
Alan P. Thomas, unopposed on the Democratic ticket in the primary, will face Republican Mike Gravely in the Sheriff's race. Gravely defeated Elmer Galford 636 to 406 in the GOP primary.
Norbert Netzel will face Angela Miller in the assessor's race. Netzel defeated Lori Wickline and Cory Riner on the Democrat side. Miller was unopposed on the Republican side.
Danny Lively and Dixie Lee Hoke-Webb earned Board of Education nominations, while Barry Miller and Carolyn Miller took nominations for Conservation District Supervisor in the GBV District.
