Names released in Buchanan Co. drug roundup

Buchanan County Sheriff Ray Foster has released the names of the alleged offenders after a major drug round-up.  On Wednesday, May 4, 2012, the 29th Judicial Drug Task Force along with the Buchanan County Sheriff's Office, Virginia State Police and the Grundy Police Department, conducted the first phase of executing 157 indictments for the arrest of drug offenders.  Twenty-two of the 48 individuals have been charged and arrested.  Officers seized cocaine, marijuana, money and guns.

Those charged and arrested are as follows:

Timothy Gregory Allen, 8-8-1970, Hurley VA  -  Possession of firearms while manufacturing drugs, Distribute I & II controlled substance, common nuisance

Bradley Martin Christian, 7-16-1974, Grundy, VA  - Distribute schedule I & II controlled substance

Johnny Lee Dotson, 4-11-1953, Grundy, VA - Distribute schedule I& II controlled substance

Ronald Terry Dotson, 1-1-1965, Hurley, VA - Distribute schedule I & II, common nuisance

Mitchell Grizzle, 8-10-1984, Big Rock, VA - Distribute schedule I & II controlled substance, conspire to distribute schedule I & II, common nuisance

Ruby Grizzle, 1-10-1976, Big Rock, VA - Distribute schedule I & II controlled substance, conspire to distribute schedule I & II controlled substance, common nuisance

Rockie Ireland Hensley, 5-20-1968, Hurley, VA - Possession with intent to distribute schedule I & II, common nuisance

William Carroll Hensley, 1-17-1980, Hurley, VA - Distribute schedule I & II controlled substance, common nuisance

Craig Douglas Howell, 5-4-1973, Haysi, VA - Distribute schedule I& II controlled substance, common nuisance

The above individuals have been transported to Southwest Virginia Regional Jail, Haysi, VA.   More arrest is to follow.

    Beckley (WVVA) -- A Parkersburg, West Virginia man accused of robbing the Kroger on Harper Road entered a plea in Beckley on Friday. Jonathan James Rager pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Robbery. Police said he went into the store last March and pulled a gun on the cashier. Authorities were able to track Rager down at a Days Inn in Bradley two days later. He faces up to 18 years in prison when he is sentenced in November.More >>
