Less than a week remains before the annual Lewisburg Chocolate Festival, Saturday, April 14.
The Festival includes an exciting schedule of events centered on the chocolate theme including free chef demonstrations, a mousse eating contest, chocolate tastings, street entertainers, and events for all ages.
The premiere portion of the event, the Chocolate Tasting Extravaganza features an opportunity to taste chocolate delicacies and desserts throughout the shops and businesses in Downtown Lewisburg. From 11:00 am to 4:00 pm that Saturday more than 30 locations will feature chocolate delicacies from chocolate caramel macchiato to homemade double dark chocolate ice cream.
New for 2012 is a demo from the new Greenbrier Executive Pastry Chef Jean-Francois Suteau, a new chocolate craft by the Darling Exchange, and a new book and author reading for children featuring The Bachelor's Holly Durst.
With over 30 chocolate companies and businesses participating, there will be close to 30,000 tastes available. According to organizers tickets are still available for the event but are expected to again sell out.
