BECKLEY (WVVA) - A local hospital is raising support for victims of brain injuries.
As part of 'Brain Injury Awareness Month,' the VA Medical Center in Beckley held a meeting Tuesday evening to bring attention to those who've suffered from injuries to the brain.
Brain injuries can be caused by trauma to the head, a stroke, or a tumor. The hospital hopes to especially raise awareness among veterans in the area who may have suffered from head injuries during combat.
Supports hope that those suffering from head injuries can get back to a normal life through therapy.
