Weekend Meteorologist/Multimedia Journalist


WVVA Television in Bluefield, WV, Nature's Air Conditioned City, is looking for a professional to anchor weekend weather, fill in weekdays and report during the week. The right candidate will produce and present multiple weather segments in our newscasts and excel at severe weather coverage.

You'll work with a professional forecast team in all aspects of weather forecasting/monitoring and producing forecasts on all platforms, including on-air, online, radio and mobile. Successful candidate loves weather and delivers an understandable, accurate forecast in a competitive environment. You need excellent communication skills.

Successful candidate will have a four-year meteorology degree with an AMS or NWA seal of Approval preferable, but not required. Prior experience preferred.
