UPDATE: Signs of blunt trauma on Raleigh man's body

FAIRDALE (WVVA) - The body of a Raleigh County man who had been missing since February 12 has been found.

Police said Monday that there were clear signs of blunt force trauma on the body of 66-year-old Frankie Acord.

According to the Raleigh County Sheriff's Office Acord's body was found by a man riding a four-wheeler on an old strip road.

Sheriff's Deputies say that is seems like Acord's body has been at the location for some time.

The official cause of death is not yet known. The body is awaiting autopsy at the state medical examiner's office.

The sheriff's office says they are treating the investigation as a homicide.
