PRINCETON (WVVA)-- Everyone has felt the affects from the snow that dumped over the area over the past 48 hours. Tens of thousands have been without power not knowing where to turn. Even some local businesses have felt that pain too.
In Princeton, Star 95 was without power, and not on the air for over 15 hours. It cost the company several thousand dollars that they hope to make up.
When they were finally able to continue broadcasting, it was because of a generator and "a half a mile of extension cable," said L. T. Schoonover the Star 95 General Manager.
And in Bluefield, Cole Chevy was not able to perform repairs that were scheduled due to power outages.
If you were scheduled to have repairs done Monday, Cole Chevy says they hope to be able to perform those this week.
