BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Appalachian Power spokesman Phil Moye tells WVVA News that crews will be working well into the week to restore service to the thousands of customers affected by Sunday's snow storm.
Moye said many could expect service to be restored within the next 24 hours as crews focused first on the largest outages.
As many as 63,000 customers were without service in the wake of Sunday's storm that dumped several inches of wet, heavy snow on the region -- snapping trees and power lines.
Mercer was the most-affected county, with as many as 16,000 customers without service Monday afternoon.
