PRINCETON, WV (WVVA)-- Now more than ever, dentists are on the front lines of patient care. Not only are they making sure people's smiles are at their best but they are also diagnosing dangerous conditions like diabetes and heart disease.
As well as patient's visits to a medical provider have plummeted since 2009, according to the Kaiser Family Foundation. However, most Americans continue to make at least one visit to the dentist every year. One of those reasons we are seeing this trend is due to the lack of a relationship with a primary physician.
