UPDATE: (WVVA) - State Police have released the names of the three victims killed in Wednesday evening's crash on Route 52 in Mercer County.

Tyler Murray, 19, Courtney Nicole Hagy, 19, and Jessica Pruitt, 22, all died when the white sedan they were traveling in collided head-on with a truck.

ORIGINAL REPORT: BRAMWELL (WVVA) - Three people were killed Wednesday when the sedan they were traveling in collided with a truck on Route 52 near Bramwell.

The crash occurred around 4 p.m., about one mile from Bramwell. Authorities say a white sedan apparently struck an older-model pickup truck that was pulling onto the highway.

All three people in the sedan were killed. A driver and passenger in the truck were transported to the hospital with injuries.

Both lanes of Route 52 were closed for hours as crews worked to clear the scene.

The victims have not been identified at this time.

The West Virginia State Police is investigating the crash.
