Greenbrier Residents Can Now Get Emergency Alerts via Text

LEWISBURG (WVVA) -Residents of Greenbrier County are urged to sign up for instant alerts.

Greenbrier County, WV is announcing the installation of a county wide alert system. Greenbrier County selected Inspiron Logistics' Wireless Emergency Notification System (WENS) to provide instant emergency alerts and notifications to its public citizens and as an internal communication tool for police, fire and other county employees.

Funding for the program is provided by the Greenbrier County Commission, the Greenbrier County Emergency Responders Association and the Greenbrier County 911 Center.

 Inspiron Logistics' WENS platform enables officials to instantly communicate directly with landlines, mobile devices (text-message), email, pagers and desktop alerts. Its robust design and enterprise level infrastructure makes it the fastest method of communication in the industry

With the chances of an emergency in Greenbrier County, WV Officials are urging residents to sign up for instant alerts. Instant alerts are issued for severe weather and other emergencies. These instant alerts are sent via text messages, pages, and/or emails.
