Greenbrier Businesses Get a Boost From the Web

Posted:

LEWISBURG (WVVA) - Business members of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce got the opportunity to learn how to boost their profits by making their services available to the entire world - the world wide web.

This  tutorial was a part of this month's power-lunch;"Build Your Own Website - Fast, Fun, and Easy!"

Local residents and business associates packed a lunch and came to the Jefferson Office Park Training Office of New River Community and Technical College where laptops were provided for hands on experience.

Allender Stewart, Chamber's VISTA volunteer will showed both free and inexpensive resources to help small businesses and individuals make an impact on the web.

"I think it is really important for any business to have a web presence. A lot of time now days people are just looking online for the service that they need and if you don't have a website than you are missing out on an opportunity."

If you were not able to attend the power lunch and are interested in learning these useful tips on how to make your business accessible to a much bigger market you can visit the chambers website.

Power Lunches are a monthly member resource of the Greater Greenbrier Chamber of Commerce – contact the Chamber to register at 304-645-2818 or visit www.greenbrierwvchamber.org for more details. Power Lunches are held in conjunction with the Workforce Business Development Office of New River Community and Technical College.
