Amir Abbas joined the WVVA news team in December 2011 as the Beckley Bureau reporter. Amir grew up in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and later attended Indiana University in beautiful Bloomington, Indiana. Amir earned a bachelors degree in communications and worked for Indiana University Student Television. After graduating from IU he moved to Phoenix, Arizona and worked for The Arizona Republic for 5 years. Amir is a die-hard Indianapolis Colts, Pacers and IU basketball fan.
