CHARLESTON (WVVA) - Marshall and WVU take to the court in Charleston once again tonight for the annual Capital Classic.
WVU holds a 28-11 lead all time in the series, but Marshall came out on top last year, winning 75-71.
The Herd enter tonight's game as the top offensive rebounding team in the country, averaging nearly 18 a game. Dennis Tinnon has paced the Herd, with an average of five per game.
West Virginia counters with the Big East's leading rebounder in forward Kevin Jones, who's averaging more than 11 boards a game.
Jones also leads the Mountaineers in scoring with about 20 points a night. Jones' other senior teammate, Truck Bryant is second in team scoring, with just under 18 points per game.
Marshall comes into the game undefeated in Conference USA play with a 4-0 mark. They also hold a 1-1 record against the Big East. Their loss came at the hand's of the nation's top-ranked Syracuse squad.
WVU is 13-5 overall with a 4-2 mark in the Big East.
