UPDATE: Teen arrested in Walmart bomb threat

UPDATE: BECKLEY (WVVA) - Beckley Police have arrested a juvenile in connection with Tuesday's bomb threat that was called into the Walmart on Eisenhower Drive.

Store management contacted authorities after receiving the call on Tuesday afternoon. The store was evacuated and searched. No bomb was found.

The name of the juvenile is not being released.

 

ORIGINAL REPORT: BECKLEY (WVVA) - Raleigh County 911 tells WVVA that the Beckley Walmart store has reopened.  The store was evacuated earlier after reports of a bomb threat.  The building was searched but no bomb was found.

The threat was called into the store on Eisenhower Drive Tuesday afternoon. Officials at the store then contacted Beckley City Police.

A West Virginia State Police bomb squad was called in to searched store. Beckley PD and Beckley Fire Department were also on scene to assist.
