MSU's undergrad nursing program loses accreditation

Posted:

BECKLEY (WVVA) - A Raleigh County college has lost accreditation for one of its undergraduate programs.

The Commission on Collegiate Nursing issued a letter on Monday rejecting Mountain State University's request for accreditation for its undergrad nursing program.

This comes on the heels of the school losing its national accreditation for the school of nursing earlier this year.

The graduate nursing programs are still accredited by the National League for Nursing Accreditation Commission.

The Higher Learning Commission plans to visit the school in the coming months as part of a show cause order regarding MSU's general accreditation.
