Second '2nd Chance Rocks' concert lineup revealed

BLUEFIELD VA. (WVVA) - The musical lineup for the second-annual '2nd Chance Rocks the Two Virginias' concert has officially been released.

The concert is set for the weekend of June 29-30, 2012.

On the 29th, VIPs and special guests will be able to attend a gala featuring Jake Owen at the Chuck Mathena Center in Princeton.

Then, on the 30th, fans will pack Mitchell Stadium to see Mustang Sally, Josh Thompson, Brantley Gilbert, Rodney Atkins and Eric Church.

Along with the announcement of the lineup came news of a partnership with the Appalachian League.

Each team in the baseball league will dedicate a night to the 2nd Chance Learning Center in the upcoming season -- and seasons to come.

    Beckley (WVVA) -- A Parkersburg, West Virginia man accused of robbing the Kroger on Harper Road entered a plea in Beckley on Friday. Jonathan James Rager pleaded guilty to 2nd Degree Robbery. Police said he went into the store last March and pulled a gun on the cashier. Authorities were able to track Rager down at a Days Inn in Bradley two days later. He faces up to 18 years in prison when he is sentenced in November.More >>
