    BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - The 2012 Toys for Tots campaign received a huge boost Monday. Mountain Star Inc., the Owners of several local Hardee's restaurants in the region, donated $2,500 to the campaign. GeneralMore >>

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - If you know of a struggling family that needs help getting their children Christmas presents this year, Toys for Tots may be the answer.

Once again, local Marines and WVVA have teamed up to give area children in need a better holiday season.

To qualify for help, families must first sign up by calling 304-425-5551. The last day for applications is Dec. 10.

If your call is not immediately answered, be sure to follow the directions and leave a detailed message. A Marine volunteer will get back to you as quickly as they can.

Following is the list of donation locations, and the dates and times WVVA crews will be there, broadcasting live.

    Tazewell County deputies spent part of their Labor Day holiday arresting a Richlands man on marijuana charges. Officers found 115 Marijuana plants, over a pound of harvested Marijuana, and three firearms inside the home of Roger Lee Sparks Jr., 38, of Richlands.     CHARMCO (WVVA)- Two cars collided on Route 60 in Charmco on Monday, September 1, 2014. According to Trooper Christopher Teubert with WV State Police, the accident happened a little after 3:00P.M. Teubert says a woman was pulling out of the post office when an SUV came around the corner and t-boned her.She was conscious when first responders arrived on scene. The woman was transported to Greenbrier Valley Medical Center. The driver of the SUV didn't sustain any injuries.More >>
