BLUEFIELD VA. (WVVA) - An attempted robbery at Walmart ended with a suspect tased and the discovery of drugs.

Two men and two women allegedly left the store Wednesday morning with a cartful of stolen items. Officer Tim Carroll, with the Bluefield, Va., police department, approached one of the male suspects who was loading the items into a car.

Upon being patted down, the male fled on foot. A second officer caught up with the suspect and tased him. Police then found a large amount of cash and narcotics on the suspect.

There were no serious injuries to the tased suspect.

All four individuals involved are currently in custody. Felony charges are pending.

WVVA's Josh Frketic is investigating the incident and will have more details as they become available.
