HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Marshall wide receiver Troy Evans has been suspended indefinitely for an undisclosed violation of team rules.
Marshall announced the suspension Tuesday night. A football spokesman says the university won't have any further comment.
Evans caught 21 passes for 225 yards and three touchdowns last season. He also was the team's leading punt and kick returner, including a 100-yard kickoff return for a score.
Marshall opens the season Sunday at No. 24 West Virginia.
