Josh Frketic joined the WVVA news team in August 2011 as a Multi-media Journalist.

Josh is Pittsburgh born and bred but says he couldn't be happier to be in the Two Virginias.

He studied broadcasting at Point Park University in Pittsburgh where he was a Myron Cope Scholarship winner and the inaugural winner of the best sports play-by-play voted by the Intercollegiate Broadcasting System.

Josh interned at the former Fox Sports Net in Pittsburgh in 2009, and at KDKA in 2010. When Josh has a day off he enjoys playing 18 holes of golf at one of the wonderful courses in the region. And of course cheering on his hometown Steelers, Penguins, and Pirates.
