Burglar Caught "Red-Handed" in Greenbrier County


Rupert W.V.a. (WVVA) - On Sunday, August, 7th 2011 at 4:30 in the morning, Travis Simmons of Greenbrier County was arrested for burglary. Corporal D.J. Hinkley of the Greenbrier County Sheriffs Department was called to the Quinwood Apartments to investigate a break in.

While Hinkley was investigating the crime-scene, Simmons was seen climbing through the rear window of the victims apartment.

Simmons was arrested on the scene for nighttime burglary and some items that were stolen were recovered. Additional arrests are expected.

Travis Simmons was taken to Southern Regional Jail in Beaver and held at a $30,000 bond.
