N.WILKESBORO, N.C., JULY 25, 2011– Window World Cares, the charitable foundation of the nation's largest replacement window company, Window World, Inc., raised more than $504,900 to support its work with charitable causes, such as St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and Veterans Airlift Command during the 2011 Window World Family Reunion from July 13-16. Since 2008, Window World Cares has raised more than $2.1 million for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

The four-day conference, held at Rosen Shingle Creek in Orlando, drew more than 1,100 Window World employees and corporate partners from across the U.S. Celebrity guests included NASCAR Hall of Famer Richard Petty, veteran IndyCar drivers Michael Andretti and John Andretti and Window World brand ambassador and chief designer Kathy Ireland.

"Each year, the Window World Family Reunion not only gives us the opportunity to celebrate the amazing people that work for our company, but to gather together and support important causes that are close to Window World," said Dana Deem, president of Window World. "The tremendous outpouring of support from those within our company this year even outshined the remarkable contributions we gathered last year," he stated.

A portion of the more than half a million dollars donated to Window World Cares came through the sale of charity tickets for a replica of the Richard Petty Series SuperBird powered by Window World and an auction that included items donated by Michael Andretti, John Andretti, Andretti Autosports, Paul Teutul, Sr., Orange County Choppers, Kathy Ireland and jewelry designer Anne Forkan.

"The Reunion enabled us to reconnect with members of the Window World family and also allowed us to hear firsthand from Hayley Arceneaux, a former St. Jude patient, and Captain Kent Solheim, wounded during Operation Iraqi Freedom a recipient of the Silver Star, who was supported by Veterans Airlift Command," said Tammy Whitworth, chairman and CEO, Window World, Inc. and co-founder, Window World Cares. "Our team operates as a family and we are privileged to help impact the lives of people who need it most through the generosity demonstrated by our colleagues."

St. Jude is recognized as one of the world's premier centers for the research and treatment of pediatric cancer and other catastrophic childhood diseases. Veterans Airlift Command provides air transportation for medical and other compassionate purposes to wounded warriors, veterans and their families through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.

Since November 2008, Window World has supported 16 missions for Veterans Airlift Command and donated more than 40,000 miles.
