Mercer County (WVVA) -- A ceremony recognizing a portion of Route 20 between Princeton and Athens as The Senator Donald Caruth Memorial Road was held Saturday morning at Concord University.
The road is named after the Honorable Senator Donald "Don" Caruth, a West Virginia legislator who passed away in May 2010.
Caruth began his political career representing District 25 in the House of Representatives and was elected to the state Senate in 2004 and 2008, serving as Senate Majority Leader.
Those in attendance included Delegates John Frazier, Marty Gearheart, and Joe Ellington.
