The Concord Men's Basketball released its 2011-12 schedule Friday.
This will be the first season for new head coach Kent McBride, a former CU player, who's taking the helm of the program following Steve Cox's retirement.
The season begins on Friday, November 11, with a non-conference home game against WVU Tech. CU will play a home-and-home with the Golden Bears; the return trip is January 3 in Montgomery.
Concord won't be playing in the Currence Classic in Bluefield. Instead, the Mountain Lions will play a home-and-home with Virginia State in what's believed to be the first-ever meeting between the two teams. Concord visits VSU on November 29; the Trojans come to CU on December 19.
There will be 22 WVIAC games. CU has home-and-homes with Bluefield State, Charleston, Fairmont State, Glenville State, Ohio Valley, defending WVIAC champion West Liberty, West Virginia State and Wheeling Jesuit.
There will be single games against Alderson-Broaddus, Davis & Elkins, Pitt-Johnstown, Seton Hill, Shepherd and West Virginia Wesleyan.
There are 13 home games and 13 road games.
The WVIAC Tournament begins on Tuesday, February 28, 2012.
