Morgantown--22,000 West Virginia University football fans showed up at Milan Puskar Stadium for their first glance at the new Dana Holgorsen offense. Friday night was the final Gold-Blue spring game for head coach Bill Stewart.
Fans got quite a show--an offensive explosion--the Gold team scored five touchdowns against the Blue defense as the offense beat up the defense 83-17.
Geno Smith lit it up in the backfield completing 26-of-37 passes for 388 yards and four touchdowns.
Six receivers caught five or more passes including Steadman Bailey who caught six passes for 182 yards and three touchdowns.
