Formed in June 2005, by long time friends Billy Wagner and Erik Robinson, Second Chance Learning Center was created to assist with the increased school drop-out rate in Southwest Virginia. Our goal is to not only turn this rate around — but to also help our students understand that education will empower them to open the doors to opportunity. The foundation strives to close the achievement gap that currently exists in American education and ensure our students become productive citizens who make positive contributions to our society.
We are working directly through the community and with the school system to make sure that those students who need a helping hand, a little extra guidance, know that the 2nd Chance Learning Center is the place where we can and will make success happen.
Second Chance Learning Center provides students with a firm educational foundation in a relaxed environment by educating and teaching students through classroom instruction, mentoring, personal tutoring, student counseling and promoting continued education with scholarships and grants.
