Country stars to rock the Bluefields

BLUEFIELD (WVVA) - Some of the hottest acts in country music are ready to rock Mitchell Stadium, all for a worthy cause.

The inaugural Second Chance Rocks the Two Virginias concert on July 16 will showcase some of country's top young talent with proceeds benefiting the Second Chance Learning Center in Tazewell and other local charities.

The blockbuster lineup coming to the Bluefields includes Dierks Bentley, Montgomery Gentry, Craig Morgan, Justin Moore, Easton Corbin, Brantley Gilbert and Taylor Made.

Formed in June 2005, by longtime friends and Tazewell County natives Erik Robinson and Major League Baseball star Billy Wagner, Second Chance Learning Center was created to combat the increased school dropout rate in Southwest Virginia by working with area students and stressing the importance of education in their future lives.
