The need for these critical skills was recently identified in a survey conducted by the Beckley Raleigh County Chamber of Commerce.
In response, The Performance Group is pleased to announce an opportunity to offer affordable, effective training on these topics.
Both of these fast-paced and highly interactive seminars will provide proven tools and techniques that can be applied immediately to help your employees and your business
Session One - "Communicating & Working Together as a Team"
9:00am – noon
Effective communication is the key to everything from nurturing client relationships, giving directions and explaining employee policies to closing sales and delighting customers. On the other hand, poor communication is the root cause of nearly 90% of all problems that create employee turnover, frustrate customers and waste hard-earned dollars that could be reinvested in your business or your employees. This workshop highlights how you can understand (and take advantage of) the impact this has on your team and your business. Appropriate for all employees
Specific outcomes include:
Learn your primary communication style, how it impacts your message, and how to identify the styles of other team members. Applying this technique will improve your results and help you understand (and hopefully prevent) possible sources of tension and misunderstandings.
What "sport" does your business play?
Common sports can teach us an awful lot about business. This discussion offers everyone an opportunity to analyze their own business and learn how to be more effective as a team.
Is that what I said?
Giving and receiving instructions - Your ability to give and execute verbal instructions is one of the most critical components is business. This interactive exercise will allow you to sharpen your verbal and listening skills.
Session Two - "Leading Change So Others Will Want To Follow"

Change is a constant. Some people thrive on it while others dread it. This experiential session allows participants to actually watch change happen and feel the impact it has on the group. Learn how great leaders facilitate change and take away techniques for creating an organization that is more responsive, more flexible, and most of all, constantly improving to get better results. Recommended for business owners, managers and supervisors, but appropriate for all employees

Learn why some people resist when asked to change and what you can do to make change more comfortable.
Your role as a leader
Most of us have been in a situation that required us to lead a group that was unwilling, or we have been forced to follow a leader that made things difficult. Learn the keys to creating "buy-in" and developing an environment of "ownership."
Improve your vocabulary
Communicating the change is the biggest challenge. Learn tips for breaking down barriers and engaging those who you are asking to try something new.
