Update: infant on ventilator in Roanoke has died

Investigators in Bluefield, Virginia say that a five-month-old baby boy who was declared brain dead last week has now passed away.

Emergency workers found the infant unresponsive last Tuesday at Crescent View Apartments on Neel Street.

The baby boy had been on a ventilator at Roanoke Memorial Hospital.

He was pronounced dead on Friday.

The obituary lists the infant's name as Kaiden-Isaac-Bailey of Bluefield, Virginia.

Police say the baby's mother and a baby-sitter were present when the call was placed to 911.

No charges have been filed so far and police say the autopsy report is complete at this time.
