Name released in kayak death

Authorities have released the name of the kayaker who died on the Gauley River.

Mark Hanna, 55, of Meadville, Pennsylvania died as a result of drowning on Sunday.

Officials say Hanna was unable to turn his kayak right side up after it flipped.

The drowning occurred about four miles below Summersville Dam.

Hanna was said to be an experienced kayak enthusiast who had run the Gauley River for the past ten years.
