HUNTINGTON, W.Va. (AP) -- Oak Glen is off to a good start in its quest for a 14th straight state high school wrestling championship.

Oak Glen is in first place after Thursday night's opening round. Point Pleasant and Wirt County are tied for second in the Class AA-A meet.

This is the final tournament for Oak Glen coach Larry Shaw, who is retiring.

Defending champion Parkersburg South is in first place in Class AAA. Ripley is second and Huntington is third.

The tournament concludes Saturday.
