The Denver Foundation hosted its biggest fundraiser of the year, the Christmas Wish Celebrity Auction, Friday night at Gary Bowling's House of Art.
The auction included celebrity memorabilia from some of the most famous stars of our time.
A familiar face to Gillian's Island fans and a personal friend of the Denver family, actress Dawn Wells who played Mary Ann in Gillian's Island came from Hollywood for the event.
All the proceeds from the auction will go to the Denver Foundation which helps make a difference in the lives of special needs individuals in West Virginia.
It's an issue near and dear to Dreama Denver who raised a severely autistic son with her husband Bob.
"We knew up close and personal the emotional challenge, the financial drain, the physical challenge of taking care of a special needs person. We wanted to be able to help other families." explains Denver.
Dawn Wells adds, "Every community needs assistance and I think Dreama has done a phenomenal job since we've lost Bob. The community has been so supportive."
The goal was to raise $10,000, with all of the money going for grants in the upcoming year.
