The United States Army Field Band and Soldiers' Chorus provided a cultural evening of music for veterans and citizens of the Two Virginias on Friday night.
The band performed at the Brushfork Armory to a crowd of around 1,700.
The field band tours nationally and internationally with the mission of brining the Army story to the grassroots of the country.
The men and women of the organization are some of the country's most talented musicians and take great pride in giving back to the individual communities.
Captain Leonel Pena, Director of Soldiers Chorus and Associate Band Master explains, "We travel throughout the country about 100 to 120 performances for the general public and telling the Army story. We bring the Army message to the public and tell them what their Army is doing and how we're doing and just to make sure that we know that we work for them."
Each concert on a tour is sponsored by a local organization.
WVVA was a proud sponsor along with Blue Mountain Performing Arts.
