Rahall holds second town hall meeting

Posted:

With a little more than a week to go before federal lawmakers return to Washington D.C., Congressman Nick Rahall is hot on the trail pushing health care reform.

Rahall listened to citizen's concerns and answered questions during a town hall meeting held Tuesday in Glen Jean, W.Va.

The Congressman held a similar event in Princeton in mid-August and Monday he addressed a crowd for more than three hours at Marshall University.

"We want to make sure that we move forward in West Virginia with a healthy population," said Congressman Rahall, "I am part of the 80 percent who are happy with their insurance at this present time. There can be competition for health care plans that will help drive down costs, drive down costs that you have to meet to provide for your employees."

Congressman Rahall will be holding two more town hall meetings: Wednesday, Sept. 2 at 2:00 p.m. at the West Virginia School of Osteopathic Medicine in Lewisburg and Thursday, Sept. 3 at 10:00 a.m. at the Mullens Opportunity Center Outdoor Amphitheater in Mullens, W.Va.
