We've all heard and seen the Mercy rule in baseball and softball where when one team is ahead by 10 runs after five innings, the game is called. And then there is the Ohio State and Florida State baseball game.
The Buckeyes gave up 37 runs, an NCAA postseason record, losing 37-6 to Florida State.
At one point, the Seminoles led 31-nothing.
The 37 runs are a new NCAA post-season record for runs in a game.
Florida State only hit three homeruns but recorded an NCAA all-time record 15 doubles and 66 total bases and set an NCAA single-game record for hits with 38.
