    MONTCALM, W.Va. (AP) -- A barn demolition project in Mercer County has uncovered a 19th century log school. Brian Pigg discovered the hand-hewn logs at his barn's core while removing siding. The barn is located on Browning Lambert Mountain in the Montcalm area. Retired Montcalm High School history teacher Jack Johnson tells the Bluefield Daily Telegraphthat the log structure was once known as the Mullins School. According to WV State Police, a car going West on 460 collided with a tractor trailer going East.The driver of the car was transported to Princeton Community Hospital.     WVVA- Grant's Supermarket co-owner, Ron Martin hand delivered checks to the top three schools in the company's March Grad-ness Campaign.The campaign raised money for project graduation at 18 area high schools. Pikeview High School won first place, raising around $1,500. Princeton Senior High School came in second with $800. Richlands High School was third, raising around $600.The remaining fifteen schools will receive their checks by mail. The event raised more than $4,000.More >>
