Associated Press - July 29, 2010 4:15 AM ET

CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) - The Small Business Administration says the deadline for non-profits in four West Virginia counties to apply for disaster loans is approaching quickly.

The agency says applications for damage from storms, mudslides and flooding in Logan, McDoweel, Mingo and Wyoming counties last June are due Aug. 23.

Non-profits that provide services such as food kitchens and homeless shelters, as well as museums, libraries, community centers, schools and colleges are eligible. The SBA says they can borrow up to $2 million for various needs.
