Jurors have already detailsof the night Pitino and Karen Cunagin Sypher had a sexual liaison in an Italian restaurant in Louisville in 2003.
Now Pitino is expected to testify Wednesday, the third day of the trial.
Sypher is charged with trying to extort cash, cars and a house to stay quiet about their encounter. She has pleaded not guilty.
Along with Pitino, one of his aides, Vinnie Tatum, is expected to testify Wednesday. Tatum, who was Pitino's driver the night he met Sypher, spent Tuesday waiting outside the courtroom but was not called.
