
The Center for International Understanding Youth Outreach Program is trying to raise money for a kindergarten in Tajikistan. Their holding a flea market at the Mint Indian Restaurant on Cumberland Road in Bluefield, W.Va. from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. on November 14.
They're collecting all kinds of gently used items including: pants, shirts, coats, dresses, suits, ties, scarves, shoes, caps, kitchen utensils, appliances that work, videotapes/DVDs of movies/songs, music cds, bedroom items, small furniture, sports goods (rackets, bats, balls), books, stationery, novelty items (figurines), toys and candles.
If people would like to donate items, they can contact CIU members Shabaan Rana at (304) 952-0843 or Obada Ghabra at (304) 952-9793. People can also drop the items off at the Mint Indian restaurant on November 12 and 13 after 11 a.m.
CIU is also accepting monetary donations. Checks should be made payable to
Center for International Understanding, Inc. with Tajik KG in the memo section. Mail checks to 110 Lovell Avenue, Princeton, WV 24740.
The Mint Indian Restaurant will also be providing free food samples at the flea market. >>
